Partnerships are the production
A documentary about an industry only works if the industry shows up. Getting it to show up is the part of producing I do best.
The companies
Studios, a production company, locations, programs and press. Each one said yes to a specific ask.
- Studio access
Opened the Bellevue studio to the crew, put senior leadership on camera and granted Guild Wars 2 IP at no cost. Editorially independent; not a sponsor. - Production partner
South Korean producer of Unbowed, National Security and Black Money. Letter of intent signed; co-production for Korea-based shooting, outreach and interviews. - Joining the film

The people
Every interview in the film was booked by Michael and me, one conversation at a time. The job is knowing who to ask, what to ask for, and following through until a studio head sits down in front of the camera.

What a head producer does here
- Finds the people with real access and real tension, and gets them to say yes
- Builds the partnerships: studio access, IP clearance, a co-production partner in Korea
- Owns the plan: budget, schedule, crew, logistics, from pre-production through the shoot
- Protects the story: who sits in which chair, what we ask, what we cut
That is the job on a feature. It is the same job on a commercial, a brand film, or a video team that needs to ship faster. Two ways to hire it:
Work with me
Two ways in
The producer who gets a studio head into a chair can get your story on screen. Hire the craft itself, or hire me to rebuild how your team makes video.
Both start with one email and a straight answer about budget, timeline and whether I am the right person for it.
Who you are talking to
Producer first. Editor and writer by craft.
